11 Days on the Seashore
I recently went on an 11 night cruise aboard the Seashore. This is my second time to cruise this ship and it never disappoints. We left from Port Canaveral, went down through Mexico and back through the Bahamas with 2 stops at their private island.
From beginning to end we were amazed with the cleanliness of the ship and the friendliness of the staff. Our steward met every request and greeted us with a smile every morning. The food on the buffet had much healthier options than other cruise lines and didn’t lack in good flavor with multitudes of choices. I tried it all! The waiters in our MDR became quick friends and served us well. We had the drink package so I ordered cocktails with our meal and they brought them quickly from the bar.
Our favorite part was Ocean Cay though. It is a gorgeous island with many beaches to choose. We love Bimini Beach on the back side of the island. It is ocean side with crystal clear water. We walked through schools of beautiful fish and even had a sting ray swim past. There are food trucks and restaurants near Bimini Beach and chairs available. We pulled our chairs under palm trees and had shade all day!
I highly recommend trying the Seashore. It is a beautiful large ship and the price point beats all others. You receive top notch service and amenities for much less than other cruise lines. We had the Fantastica experience paired with Diamond status. We were able to have early boarding and departure with the Diamond status which made it nice. MSC will status match with other cruise lines AND hotel status. I suggest taking advantage of that perk! The atmosphere on the ship was tranquil but full of fun. The night life was alive with music and festivity. The itinerary is full of events and things to keep you busy if that is your style. I personally just enjoy relaxing and watching the ocean. I am missing it now and ready to get back on and cruise again! I can honestly say it is a getaway that is worth experiencing.
